Halloween Table Runner
I finished this project in time for the month of October. Geo wanted a Halloween table runner for the coffee table, so I came up with this idea. It can also be used the other way if we get tired of looking at bats. :)

Going Batty Is Completed
I made this "Going Batty" Halloween quilt for Geo's son. I purchased a digital download pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew for the bat blocks, the border idea was my own.
It was just about impossible to get the orange colour to show up properly in the one photo of a bat block. The other photos show the orange more accurately. A professional photographer, I am not. :)
For the backing, I bought a lovely Henry Glass flannel from Connecting Threads. It has a nice weight to it and makes the quilt cozy.

Halloween Tablecloth
I ordered this Halloween fabric from Connecting Threads but didn't realize how large the pumpkins were in the print. I didn't want to cut the fabric into patchwork, I thought it would work better as a whole piece. I made it into a tablecloth. The backing is flannel and there isn't any batting in it. The two layers were sewn together with the pillowcase method, then topstitched around the edge. I quilted around the pumpkins with black thread to hold the layers together. There is a bit of the pumpkin fabric left, I think I'll use it for the backing on a table runner that I'm going to make soon.

Little Orphan Annie Is Completed
I quilted "Little Orphan Annie" in the spring, but I just finished sewing the binding this morning.
This quilt is made from orphan blocks that I saved over the years. Most of them were made in the 1990s.
The UFOs are really getting knocked down since I got the longarm machine in April. I've never named a
machine before, but I thought "The Longarm" wasn't a very exciting title. After much consideration, I
decided to name her, "Matilda". So far, she has stitched 10 quilts.

Autumn Garden By Linda H.
Linda designed and made "Autumn Garden". It's made from a combination of Maple Leaf and Plus blocks.
The colours are perfect for fall.

Crocheted Afghan
Now and then I like to crochet an afghan. This time I used the corner to corner method and had a planned colour scheme. The last time I made one like this, the colours I chose didn't look very good together. I ended up giving it away for someone to use for a picnic blanket.
Crocheted items often end up in thrift shops, I've noticed that a lot. Maybe crocheting goes in or out of style and people don't want that kind of crafted thing in their house. I like to make an afghan large and densley stiched so it can be used for a warm blanket, not neccesarily for decorating. Oh well. each person has their own opinion. The world would be a dull place it we were all the same. :)

Going Batty
I'm going batty on the longarm machine today.
It's a good thing I noticed ahead of time, one border square was sewn in wrong. Bats were flying upsidedown. I don't think they would do that even if they had rabies. The seam ripper had a bit of work to do, then I sewed the piece back in the right way. This quilt is going to be a Christmas gift for Geo's son, but I'll give it to him early so he can use it on Halloween.
