Donation Quilt #2

This is the second donation quilt that I made recently. The pattern came from the Merry Mayhem 2023 mystery quilt. The pattern was free on New Year's Day but after that it had to be paid for. I purchased the digital download, "Case #147: Let's Face It!" I dug into my bin of green fabrics for this one. Before the border was added, the green was rather overpowering. The bright print on the border helps to take the focus away from the centre. It was quilted with giant flowers, using Glide thread. The backing is a plain grey fabric which I bought on sale from Fabricville.com.

A Donation Quilt

Our guild is working on a batch of quilts to be donated locally. This is one that I've completed so far. The pattern is "Charm Pack Cherry", a free tutorial on You Tube. I added an extra row of blocks to make the quilt rectangular instead of square. Some leftover pieces of wide backing fabric were joined together for the back. With the price of fabric these days, it's waste not want not!

Day Two Of The February 2023 Quilting Retreat

Today I put a border on the donation quilt. The print with a white background kind of takes the focus away from the overwhelming green on the rest of the quilt. I was trying to use up some of the green fabric in my stash. I also made quite a few more Triple Treat blocks. It was a great weekend!

Day One at the February 2023 Quilting Retreat

We're only having a two day retreat this time because the hall was booked for something else on Friday. That's ok, we'll make the most of it and will have a productive weekend. Today we were working on some donation quilts. After that, I was making Triple Treat blocks- a free pattern on Bonnie Hunter's blog. As usual, I ate too much today and was waddling around in agony. A good time was had by all. :)

Apron

I just finished making this apron. The picture of it on a hanger didn't turn out great because the apron was folding in on itself. I was...
