Life At The Cabin

I haven't done a lot of sewing while we've been here, so I thought I would share a few pictures. The Quarantine Village quilt is on the bed. I probably should have made it a little bigger so it would hang down more on the sides. There is a larger Log Cabin quilt under it. We went on a boat ride down Tagish Lake. The weather was beautiful that day and the water was calm. The best part? There were only a few other boats on the lake the entire day.

Vacation Time 2021

We arrived at our Yukon cabin on May 16, then had to quarantine for 14 days. I'll sure be glad when all this pandemic nonsense is over. For the first week at the cabin, I hooked the generator up to the sewing machine and got a little stitching in. The only problem was it was so cold on the porch. I had to wear a winter jacket while I was sewing. There was still a patch of snow on the ground from the winter's record snowfall. Later on, we got a hole drilled and a plug-in set up inside the cabin. Now I dont have to freeze to death and have the wind blowing quilt blocks away.
