Quilt Top Made At The Cabin

After I got the Sasquatch quilt top made, I needed something else to work on while I was at the cabin. I used a large piece of navy blue fabric from a garage sale for the background and the blocks were made from a variety of scraps. We are just about home now. After all the stuff gets put away and the laundry gets done, I can get the scrap quilt top finished. It needs a good pressing with a steam iron, there is only a little travel iron at the cabin. This will be a donation quilt. There was a wildfire in the area at home and six homes were burned. It's good to have some quilts on hand to give when people are in need.

Layer It Up By Linda H.

Linda made this quilt from a pattern in the Fons and Porter magazine, Quilting Quickly, September/October 2016 issue. It's called, "Layer It Up" by Bev Getschel. Her version was a square quilt with the block arranged concentrically but Linda made a rectangle with the blocks on the diagonal. It's always nice to personalize a pattern and change it around a bit.

Sasquatch Quilt Top

The Sasquatch quilt is coming along. I'll wait until my vacation is over to put the final details on Mrs Bigfoot. I don't have any embroidery floss and buttons at the cabin to make embellishments. The pattern is by Elizabeth Hartman.

Aberdeen By Linda H.

Linda made this lovely quilt for a friend of a friend. Needless to say, the person loved the quilt and immediately cuddled up with it. It's extra special when the recipient loves the gift that much. The pattern came from Fons and Porter's Quilting Quickly, September/October 2016 issue. It is called "Aberdeen" by Kristin Lawson. Linda's had an extra row of blocks and she left out the narrow white border on the edges.

Crazy Christmas Trees Table Runner

The pattern for this runner came from Cut Loose Press. I didn't have the Spiderweb ruler that was recommended so I made a template from...
