Finished Project #9, Christmas Tree Skirt

I just finished this Christmas tree skirt for somebody at work. I looked for ages on Pinterest and pattern sites and couldn't find a tree skirt pattern that I wanted to make. Finally, I dug out a 9 degree wedge ruler, produced by Marilyn Doheney. I had that ruler for 25 years and had never used it! A circle required 40 wedges, which I cut from randomly pieced strip sets. I used all cream, white or gold fabrics, many of them had metallic gold designs on them. I quilted it with rayon thread in a light gold colour. It seemed to take forever to hand stitch the bias binding around the edge. This is number 9 of (trying to finish)
14 items in 2014. Maybe the other 5 things could be 4 coasters and a potholder. :)
