Emeralds By Linda H.
This quilt that Linda made is called "Emeralds".
The pattern was by Mary Fons In Love of Quilting March/April 2013.
Linda did a fantastic job, as usual.

Rope Basket
This is the first time I've made a rope basket.
I bought cotton clothesline rope from Home Hardware. It was rather expensive, I'll have to see if I can locate a more affordable source.
The sewing machine sewed through the clothesline with no problem at all. It took a bit of figuring to make the handles and finish the top, but I think it turned out ok.
I cut the strips of fabric 3/4" wide, that was a good size. The instructions said to cut the strips half an inch wide, but I thought that seemed a little narrow. The strips were joined with a glue stick to hold them until they were stitched in place.
My next rope project with probably be a bowl.

Tote Bag By Linda H.
Linda recently created this lovely tote bag for our friend, Brenda. A tote bag makes a great gift, I'm sure Brenda was very pleased to receive it.
