Tote Bag By Linda H.
It's summer cabin time in the Yukon. I went over to the library to use their wifi, so that I can post some pictures
Linda designed made this tote bag for her friend. Tote bags always make a nice gift and they are very useful.

Traffic Jam Is Completed
"Traffic Jam" was made from a free pattern on Pat Sloan's blog.
This is the first project I attempted on the new longarm machine. What a disaster!
Not knowing what I was doing, it was in manual mode and the speed was set too fast.
I was completely out of control, my loops were lopsided and the stitches were way too long.
The quilting looked awful, so I picked out several of the worst areas. Then I requilted most of it,
filling in bare areas and adding an extra small loop inside some of the huge ones. After that, I washed
the quilt and put it in the dryer to give it a crinkled look. It's better than it was in the first place, it'll have to do.
There is a learning curve with longarm free motion quilting. I hope I get better at it with experience.

Blue And Yellow Quilt By Linda H.
Linda and Richard just sent a big batch of pictures. I'll be able to post what Linda has been up to lately.
This blue and yellow quilt is going to be a donation. The pattern is called 'Prints Charming' by Jerry Stube featured In Pre-cut Patchwork, Quilting Quickly May/June 2019
The floral backing fabric was provided by Linda's friend.

House Potholders
I made these potholders for some friends in the Yukon. They live in a little yellow house and their favourite colour is blue. The pattern came from the book, "Block Magic" by Nancy Johnson-Srebo.

Split Nine Patch Quilt Is Completed
This Split Nine Patch quilt is the second project I've done on the new longarm machine.
The first one I did needs a visit from Jack the Ripper. I didn't know what I was doing, it looks like it was quilted by a two-year-old.
But, learning has to start somewhere. I didn't have anyplace to take classes on it. YouTube videos are a great help.
This Split Nine Patch quilt won't win any prizes either, but hopefully, I'll get used to the machine and improve my driving.
There was a great bargain for backing at Fabricville online. It was less than $7.00/metre for 110 inch wide cotton sheeting in the Home Dec department. It worked nicely for the back of this quilt.
