Friday Finish
Another donation quilt for our guild's project is completed. The pattern came from the Big Book of Scrappy Quilts. The name of it is "Precious Stones" by Elizabeth Dackson. It reminds me more of square waves rather than precious stones.
Once again, I dug into my never-ending bucket of 2 1/2" squares. I bought a whole bolt of plain light grey, that should be enough background fabric for many quilts. I hope I don't get tired of grey.
The free-motion quilting is simple waves down the length of the quilt. That type of quilting goes quickly and I can get something finished faster than other designs that I've done.

Maple Leaf Wall Quilt By Linda H.
Linda unearthed a stack of small Maple Leaf blocks that she made years ago. She decided to use them in a narrow wall quilt that would go in Richard's office.
That's a good way to use up blocks that are leftover from a project or were meant to turn into a big quilt. Sometimes we get tired of making them and the stack just sits there in storage.
Linda's wall quilt turned out great!

Pin Basting
Even though I have a new kitty helper, she doesn't assist while I pin baste a quilt. In fact, she likes Geo better than me, so she hangs out with him all the time. I'm going to go in the corner and sulk now.
I've been trying to get one quilt after another finished lately. There are too many quilt tops in the closet, I better smarten up and complete some of them.
The quilt top I'm pinning today was made about two years ago from my never-ending bucket of 2 1/2" squares.

Fox Wall Hanging By Linda H.
Linda made this fun little quilt for her friend, Christmas 2021. The pattern came from Quilter's World magazine, Feb. 2013.
Needless to say, Linda's friend was absolutely thrilled with the gift!

Day Three Of The February 2022 Quilting Retreat
I added another row of blocks to this ongoing project.
The little squares are 1 1/2". In each block there are 81 different squares with no fabrics repeating.
I must have done something bad in a past life in order to inflict this pain upon myself, haha!

Day Two Of The February 2022 Quilting Retreat
Today I finished the quilting and added binding. All that's left is to hand-stitch the binding to the back of the quilt.
I also sewed together many 1 1/2" squares for the project I was working on during the last retreat. I'll post a picture of that tomorrow.

It Wasn't A UFO For Very Long
Formerly known as "Quilt Top #27", this is now a completed quilt. The pattern, "Sparkling Gemstones" came from the book, Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott.
My bin of blue fabrics was overflowing, so I thought it would be good to use some of them. It didn't seem to make any difference, the fabric bin is still overflowing. I don't need to buy jelly rolls, I can cut my own strips.
I quilted horizontal wavy lines over the entire area, which went quickly. I was able to finish the quilting in one day.
This will be a donation quilt for a project our guild is involved with.
