Donation Quilt
I recently finished this quilt which will be donated to Linda H's quilting group. They provide comfort quilts for places in Nanaimo: women's shelter, foster kids, etc. I didn't have enough of the paisley fabric for the back, so I added a wide grey stripe.

Retirement Gift
We had a retirement party for one of my long-time co-workers last night. One of her gifts was this pillow that I made for her. She used to wear the same uniform top on the last day of her work week. Another staff member had the same top which was sacrificed to make this pillow. I took some navy blue fabric to the local embroidery shop and got them to add the words "Forever Friday". I was trying to make the back of the pillow with a single piece of the butterfly print, but I made a cutting error. Quilters don't make mistakes, they create "variations", haha!

Visible Mending
I just finished a repair on the leg of fleece pants that I wear for camping. There was a hole caused by a spark from the campfire. I hate the thought of sending clothing away to the landfill. Fleece and polyester fibres probably take forever to break down. I've worn these fleece pants for 10 years, maybe I'll get another 10 out of them. :)

Donation Quilt By Linda H
Linda recently completed this quilt and donated it to her quilting group. They will make sure it goes to a worthy cause.
The backing is cleverly pieced to get maximum use out of two fabrics from Linda's stash. If I remember right, Linda said the quilt top was made about 20 years ago. A well aged UFO finally completed. :)
