Day Two Of Our Fall Quilting Retreat
For most of the day I was free motion quilting, then switched to piecing Scrappy Chains blocks. I started these blocks when we had the last retreat, then put them away until now.

Day One Of Our Fall Quilting Retreat
I did a little baking for the ladies, quilting all day requires lots of fuel. There was more talking than sewing today, though.

String Stars by Linda H.
Linda H completed "String Stars" recently, it was a well aged UFO that sat in the pile for seventeen years. Worth the wait, it turned out to be a beautiful quilt! I like how the black background makes the colours pop and the backing fabric is pretty.

Granny Squares
"Quilt Top #2" is now a completed quilt, which I named "Granny Squares". I quilted it with a simple diagonal grid, using Sew Fine thread. A large piece of Thimbleberries fabric that was in my stash became the backing. It wasn't the nicest colour and print, so it was good to "get rid" of it. :) Lots of fabric was left when my quilt shop closed several years ago, I've been trying to use up the stock ever since.

Getting Ready For The Quilting Retreat
I pin basted Quilt Top #20 to get it ready for quilting at our next retreat. I have no idea what quilting design to use, I've looked through all my books for ideas. Hopefully, inspiration will strike soon!

Slower Than Molasses
I've been working on "Quilt Top #2", I posted a picture of it on January 14, 2016. The top was made a few years before that. For the past few weeks, I've been quilting a bit at a time, it'll eventually get finished.
